I had a horribe experience here. The owner is made it very uncomfortable by keeping the heat down. i tried to complain and only got still more cold. The drying did not work well and my clothes were damp. The owner seemed to use his cameras a lot and often made references to other people's behaviors (even what clothes they wore). One perosn that stayed at the hostel was even told not to loiter in the common area during the day. if you like to live under a a guy surveying you by a camera who doesnt think twice about your comfort level then this is your place. I feel like management runs the place like a slumlord. they only care about you paying the bills. Aviod at all cost. better to pay the extra and stay at a motel six. At least you will be warm and have privacy!

I posted the following review on hostelworld.com:
Absolutely would never stay in again because of the attitudes of the staff. When 2 people showed up late at night without a reservation, the guy working told them to "leave the premises immediately" even though he was still up at the computer and could have easily helped them. He didn't even allow them to call a cab or help them find another hostel even though it was late, and they were stuck. The staff member was rude to another friend - said something tacky about how he couldn't speak English well. Very unprofessional. It is like Fort Knox in there with 1000 keys and bolts and combinations. It sucks trying to figure it all out - esp. when you get in late from the train. There are signs all around like a bulletin board warning about a 40 DOLLAR FINE IF YOU DO ANYTHING THE OWNER DEEMS \"BREAKING HOUSE RULES.\" There is no front desk, and this makes it extremely difficult to get any kind of help if needed. You are better off sleeping outside on the gravel parking lot. That is, if the night guy doesn\'t come out and demand that you \"get off the property!\"
And I received this response from the owner:
Make sure you never come back to any of our properties. If you do you will be trespassing and will be prosecuted. We do not want people like you in any of our properties.
This is a perfect example of the lovely hospitality at Camelot Hostel I was referring to.
