Candlestone Inn & Golf Resort - Belding Fine Dining, Golf Resorts, Hotels & Motels - Pure Michigan Travel Candlestone is a 18 hole championship course cut into a stand of thick mature pines and old apple orchard. Designer Jerry Matthews still considers Candlestone to be one of his best designs. Candlestone has come to be known as one of West Michigan's toughest and most beautiful golf courses. My group had a misunderstanding with the pro shop on payment of 9 holes vs 18. After making the turn the on staff pro came racing out blowing a whistle and demanded we leave as if we were teenage hoodlums. We were humiliated but ... golflink.com
