By far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life

If it was possible to have rated it zero stars, I would have. My family (grandparents, my husband and our children) had an early reservation Saturday night. We were served our bread with napkins and were told they were out of bread plates. Our calamari appetizer took forever to come out of the kitchen and tasted like frozen calamari. An hour and a half after sitting we were still waiting for our dinners. We never received those though because after my 15 month old became antsy and let out a few screams the manager came over and asked that I leave with the baby. For the record, I am not one of those mothers who lets their children run around crazy. I do not tolerate bad behavior, and would not subject other diners to a loud/crying child. My children are accustomed to dining out, even at a fine dining establishment. My children remained quietly at our table the whole time we were there. When the baby began to get upset, I had taken her out of her highchair and was grabbing my cell phone to wait outside until our food arrived. I have worked in restaurants, my family is in the restaurant business and we are friends with owners of some of Boston's top restaurants. What this manager did was completely out of line. It is an extremely noisy restaurant to begin with, and when we sat at our table there was a small child standing on the table next to ours!! (who was never asked to leave) There were loud customers at the bar who were never asked to leave. I have never in my life been treated so rudely. This manager completely embarassed my family as she basically escorted us all out of the restaurant. Considering the dining atmosphere and quality of our calamari, I can also tell you the place is extremely overpriced.
