Cetina is a village with a population of 853. It is situated at the well of the River Cetina, by the Vrlika - Uniste road. There is an old medieval monastery in the village and an old Croatian fortification called Glavas, which is an interesting and culturally important building, at the former border between Bosnia and Dalmatia.
Historians like to stress that Glavas used to be the residence of Croatian bans and independent dukes. The Turks captured and burned down the fortification in 1522. A picturesque village of Gorjak is near Cetina. The beauty of the Cetina River is irresistible there. A monastery can be seen in the canyon of Lake Peruca. It was originally situated in Dragovec but was moved out of there before the village was drowned.
