No title - expert review Housed in a brick building that was a monastery about half a century ago, this hostel has rooms that are no-frills but sparkling clean, with white walls and blue floors. The dorms have bunk beds, and the private rooms have bathroom facilities. As basic as it all is, it's never boring. You can boogie... fodors.com

But it is also a great place to meet people, with a busy (and cheap!) bar, and there are far better things to do in Amsterdam than sit in your room.
