Kuna Travel Guide



Kuna is a small village with a population of 292 at an elevation of 375 m, situated in the central part of the Peljesac peninsula. It has a Franciscan monastery from the 18th Century and the Baroque church with paintings by Celestin Medovic, who was born in Kuna. The painting by the name "Judgment Day" is rather valuable. The birth place of the artist holds his collection of paintings and his monument, sculpted by Ivan Mestrovic in 1955, is located nearby. The palace from the Dubrovnik Republic period is located is located in the very centre of the village. The cemetery chapel has frescoes by Medovic.
