Decent hotel just off the heart of Amsterdam - user review Good location if a litte natty in condition. Parking is 40 euros a day, but that is just the going rate for Amsterdam. Service was efficient and friendly with a very helpful concierge. The rooms are a little old (but so is the building), but clean and comfortable. Inte... expedia.com
Pleasant surprise - user review I've stayed in Amsterdam many times, at hotels from 2 to 5 stars, mostly 4 or 5. Frankly, I've found reception staff and management generally to be aloof and grudgingly accomodating. I was pleasantly surprised to find the staff at the Sofitel to be welcoming and appropriately concerned with my comfo... expedia.com

Just a short walk from Centraal Station it's a great location....that's about it. I had a rate of 179.00Euro ($220.0USD!) for 1night, including breakfast. Because Im familiar with Sofitel, I ... virtualtourist.com
Sofitel Amsterdam: A great downtown Hotel - user review This place was great, and the hotel is walking distance from everything. The staff is friendly, and it's not too expensive... well, maybe a little expensive, but it wasn't bad for a weekend. There's also a bar inside the hotel where I ate and drank. A good place to get dinner if you prefer to 'charg... virtualtourist.com
