Strigova is a municipality with a population of 600 at an elevation of 380, situated in the hilly district of Medimurje. This used to be the Antic Stribon from where St Jeronim originates. It is 20 km far from Cakovec. The roads to Cakovec, Raskrizje, Mursko Sredisce and Slovensko Srediste lead from here. There are some Renaissance frescoes in the church of St Jeronim. The surrounding area is rich in vineyards that give famous wines: grasevina, bi-jeli burgac, rajski rizling and zeleni svi-lanac. There are several attractive catering facilities in the place.
