Tkon is a place with a population of 370 on the Pasman island, inhabited ever since the Roman times. The 9th century parish church has paintings by Celestin Medovic. The Benedictine monastery of St Kuzma and Damjan, situated on the Cakovac hill above Tkon. In the early 19th century Austro-Hungary built the first summer resort in Dalmatia here. Today, tourism is highly developed in the area of Tkon. | |
