Unesici is a village with a population of 550, near the Drnis-Perkovic road and railroad. It is scientifically famous for the Podhumci Pit, which is 22 m deep. During the Bronze Age it served as a burial ground. Various artifacts from the Bronze Age as well as some skeletons over 3 000 years old have been found in the pit. The village has its own station for medical services, local inn and shop. The parish Church of St. George was built in 1885. | |
