| Have you ever played with GI Joe's? Have you ever seen life size chess pieces? Imagine the combination of these two. If you are wondering where you can find such a thing then visit Xian, China, home of the Terra Cotta Soldiers. These life size clay soldiers were buried with an ancient emperor of China to ensure that in his after life he will have his army with him. Discovered in the 20th century about 100's of 6'0 tall soldiers were excavated including life size replicas of chariots and horses. Now covered by a massive tent you can go visit these soldiers and see the burial site. |
